Charlotte Cooper

Charlotte works in our Not-For-Profit and Dispute Resolution Teams.

Charlotte specialises in Institutional Abuse claims, assisting victim-survivors and institutions to reach settlements both within and outside of the Court system including conducting Informal Settlement Conferences, issuing proceedings within the Institutional Liability List and assisting with claims through the National Redress Scheme.

Before joining the Lewis Holdway Team, Charlotte worked as a Child Protection Lawyer, advocating for parents and children in both Child Protection and Criminal matters.

Charlotte has experience in both State and Federal Courts; Tribunal matters and specialist courts including the Children’s Court of Victoria.

Charlotte is passionate about tailoring each client’s experience to their individual needs with a focus on trauma-informed legal practice and client wellbeing.

Charlotte is admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
